Cultural Arts Committee & Student Senate Present:
K.B. Doyle has been playing classical piano for over forty years. He was inspired by a recording of Chopin's "Fantaisie Impromptu" when he was only six years old. He has been playing the piano ever since then. In 1974, he completed his Bachelor of Music Degree, with an emphasis in Piano Performance, from Union University in Jackson Tennessee. While pursuing his Master's Degree at SIU, Carbondale, he took a twenty-six year hiatus working for United Parcel Service. Upon retirement next fall, Doyle plans to dedicate more time to performing. RLC looks forward to many additional concerts from this talented artist. In October 16 & 17 concerts, Doyle performed Bach, Chopin, Scriabine, Schumann, Moszkowski, Rachmaninoff, and Liszt. K.B. exhibits not only a prodigy for the technical demands of the music, but moreover a true appreciation of the nuances of the instrument and the composer's intent. |
