National Shakespeare Company's
The National Shakespeare Company, marking its 37th touring season, brings performances and workshops to colleges and universities in 37 states. The company's vision has not wavered from its founders' plan to create a touring troupe of classically trained actors similar to those of the early 19th century. And its mission also remains steadfast - to make classical theater and arts education accessible to audiences across the nation. The Rend Lake Cultural Arts Committee hosted the Company's performance of "Romeo and Juliet" in the Spring of 2000. |
